TeX & LaTeX
TeX is a typesetting system written by Donald E. Knuth, who says that it is
“intended for the creation of beautiful books — and especially for
books that contain a lot of mathematics”.
LaTeX is a document markup language and document preparation system for the TeX
typesetting program. LaTeX and TeX are widely used in the academic world.
